MacNeil, Keating, Bleekemolen, and Fraga team-up
Bolingbrook, Ill., (September 18, 2019) - WeatherTech Racing driver Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Ill.) will team with Ben Keating (Tomball, Texas), Jeroen Bleekemolen (Monte Carlo), and Felipe Fraga (Brazil) in the Black Falcon Mercedes AMG-GT3 for the Creventic 24 Hour Series round to run at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, November 15-17.
MacNeil, full time competitor in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship and Ferrari Challenge North America, will run his first Creventic event with his fellow GTD competitors in November. His 24-hour experience running GT cars at Le Mans and Daytona, coupled with his extensive time behind the wheel of the Mercedes and many laps at the Texas track will be a natural fit for the Black Falcon team at the Creventic COTA event.
"We have talked about doing the race at COTA the last couple of years and we are finally going to do it together here in two months," MacNeil said. "Jeroen has had a lot success with Black Falcon in the Creventic events. Ben likes racing at COTA since it is basically his home track and Felipe has won races in the Mercedes with Ben and Jeroen. I have a lot of laps there in IMSA and Ferrari Challenge, so the four of us should be pretty formidable at COTA in the AMG-GT3 car."
MacNeil's next race behind the wheel of the of the WeatherTech Racing Ferrari will be the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season finale Petit Le Mans to run at Road Atlanta, October 9-12.
