Tune-In Alert: Monterey Grand Prix at Laguna Seca

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to sunny California for the Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix powered by Mazda at historic Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Sunday, May 1.

All four WeatherTech Championship classes will tackle the demanding 2.238-mile, 11-turn circuit which features the signature Corkscrew turn and dramatic elevation changes.

The unique format features a pair of two-hour races for the Prototype (P) and GT Le Mans (GTLM) classes, followed by the Prototype Challenge (PC) and GT Daytona (GTD) classes.

The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge returns with a two-hour, 30-minute race on Saturday afternoon, while the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama and Lamborghini Super Trofeo complete the action, with both series running a pair of races.

The Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix powered by Mazda will be presented live. The P/GTLM race will be live on FS1, beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The PC/GTD race will be live on FS2, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. Both races, along with WeatherTech Championship qualifying, the Continental Tire Challenge and both races for the Porsche GT3 Cup and Lamborghini Super Trofeo races, will be streamed live on the FOX Sports GO app with FS1 authentication.

Friday, April 29 IMSA Radio will cover all WeatherTech Championship practice sessions throughout the weekend. Saturday, April 30 Qualifying for the Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix powered by Mazda will be streamed live worldwide on IMSA.com and the IMSA mobile app, beginning at 7:30 p.m. IMSA.com and the IMSA mobile app will also stream the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge race, starting at 4:25 p.m., and the second Porsche GT3 Cup race at 11 a.m. MotorTrendOnDemand.com will stream the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Race No. 1 at 1 p.m.

Sunday, May 1 The Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix powered by Mazda kicks off with the two-hour race for the Prototype and GT Le Mans classes at 2:15 p.m., live on FS1 and the FOX Sports GO app. Then the Prototype Challenge and GT Daytona classes race for two hours live on FS2. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. IMSA.com and the IMSA mobile app will stream in-car cameras, live timing and scoring, and IMSA Radio’s play-by-play. Action begins at 11:30 a.m., with Lamborghini Super Trofeo Race No. 2 on MotorTrendOnDemand.com.
